Mucho Gusto is Spanish for 'it's a pleasure or delight to meet you'. Chris Robinson is the bass voice and he formed Mucho Gusto early in 2010. Director of IT company 24/7 Uptime in Stalybridge, Chris joined Rochdale Amateur Operatics Society in 2007. He has since sung in musicals such as Annie, Hello Dolly and Copacabana. John Simmons sings as tenor and has been the vicar at Christchurch in Chadderton since 2006. He has been involved in amateur operatics for the past 25 years, singing in musicals such as HMS Pinafore, Mack & Mabel, Jackyll & Hyde and Pirates of Penzance. Dawn Nicholls, our alto, is from Todmorden and works in the police service. She met musical director, Paul, at Singlive at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester. She has played Florence in Chess twice, appeared as a rollerskater in Return To The Forbidden Planet and flew as one of the Witches of Eastwick. She has spent several years singing with Musical Friends on behalf of charity and now sings for various Masonic groups. Dawn Leigh, an optician's manager, is our soprano voice and started singing as a young girl in Oldham Girls' Choir. She has been opera trained since 13 years old. Dawn has played many major roles in show such as Oliver, The Full Monty, Little Shop of Horrors, Tommy, Footloose, Meet Me In St Louis and Joseph. She is also a member of Musical Friends and helped raise £15,000 in 2009. Paul Nicholls, musical director and pianist, has played the piano since childhood and has been involved in musicals and shows for the past 15 years. As musical director, he is well versed in putting all the singers through their paces. He has been involved in shows such as We Will Rock You, Fiddler On The Roof, Hunchback of Notre Dame and Anything Goes.
